In July of 2006, Cully was diagnosed with cancer, already in advanced stages. The details of his diagnosis are below:

PET Scan revealed-
cancer in the lung, lymph nodes, and adrenal gland.

MRI Scan revealed- cancer in the brain.

Because of the type of cancer Cully was diagnosed with and the cancer already being in the late stages, his battle was shorter than we would have liked, but blessedly, mostly pain free.

This journey has been a long haul, but this journey has not been a journey for Cully and Pat alone. It is evident that God has been present with them both, and will continue to be present with Pat in the future. Cully's memorial service was held in Eagle River, Alaska on July 21st. It was a time of celebration, celebrating his life and the God that he served so faithfully. Cully touched the lives of many, family, friends and coworkers. Though we will miss Cully, we rejoice in the fact that as Christians we will be reunited with a full and well Cully when we join him and our Savior in heaven. Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we can be called the Children of God, and one day can enter His house with Thanksgiving and Praise.

Please continue to pray for Pat; her daughter Teasha and husband Jeff, and their three children, Josh, Emily, and Garrett; Pat's son Matt and his wife Jacki.

WebManagers Note:
Greetings from Alaska, this is Kate (for those who know me), for those who don't, I am Cully and Pat's niece via Cully's younger brother Rick. I volunteered to take care of this website for Cully and Pat because its something I like to do and one way I can serve them. I will try to keep this site as up to date as I can (I do apologize in advance if I miss anything). Feel free to ask questions using the blog/update response and I'll see if I can answer them. Also, I have attached website links that may be of interest to friends and family. Thank you.  Kate
